My name is Andrew and I am a college graduate looking to change my life to be in a state of total wellness and live the best life I could ever imagine. Having earned an Economics degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas back in August 2013, I went back to my hometown in Peru to decide what to do with the rest of my life. 4 years later, I decided to create this website to start taking rapid action towards my goals and dedicate my total focus to improving the quality of my life in all its aspects.
For several years even before college, I lived life with no real purpose or ambitions, I just let time go by and embrace whatever surprises life had for me. During my entire life I had lived in the present without making plans for the future because I figured there was still a lot of time to go by for the future to come around, but have come to realize that self-discipline is the main factor when it comes to being capable of accomplishing things.
The future depends on what we do now, which is why I came up with Project “The Great Growth”, a project dedicated to working on all different aspects of my life by means of setting goals and deadlines, planning ahead of time and carrying out and accomplishing those goals. I created a bucket list with over 100 items that I am looking forward to check off in time, as long as develop a hunger for personal growth, so in time I can achieve my ultimate visions described on this website.
This blog is only sharing my experience with the project and I hope that if somebody finds it helpful, to get in contact with me so we can all keep each other accountable, and also share it with others to help others grow.
I love tennis. I am very competitive when it comes this sport. I get in local tournaments whenever I get the chance. What I love about tournaments is not only that I get to compete, but also the social factor. I meet many people in these events and it is a nice community to surround yourself with. It is always nice to be around people who share your passion and who feel the adrenaline of competing.
I am a big fan of the self-help literature that is all over the internet. I have read material by Tony Robbins, Michael Hyatt, Brendon Bouchard, Tim Ferriss, Vanessa Van Edwards, Tai Lopez and many others. I am a true believer that one can improve himself or herself, and that it ourselves who hold us back the most. The second statement is very true for myself, and I am hoping to turn that around with this project.
I hope you find my website useful, and that it inspires you to work towards personal growth as well, whether you are just getting started, or are already pretty successful in whatever you do, I think we can always keep on growing, and also very importantly, help others grow. See you on the other side!
As of writing this page, I am currently working with my father in his small business he has been operating for the past 30 years. It is a small local maritime agency, we work from home and I take care of the Operations Department. There is not a LOT to do, I am helping him out but I do not see much room for professional improvement and making a career out of it. This is why I am looking for jobs but still am not quite sure what I want to work on. Since I work from home and do not have a heavy workload on a daily basis, I consider myself to have a pretty flexible schedule which will allow me to carry out this life project as expected. As you read my other pages, you will notice that I give BIG, HUGE importance to 3 areas of my life, the fitness, social and career departments. I assume that once I get another job which will demand much more of my time my priorities will shift a little bit, and I might have to make a few changes and adjustments to this website, but in time I shall see. No matter what, I will keep on going with this journey, however possible.
